The Beginning

Even as a young man growing up in Georgetown, Texas, Jimmy Jacobs knew he had a passion and commitment for building excellence. Jimmy initially nurtured that drive by working in commercial real estate, where he gained invaluable industry experience and learned the art of meeting the customer’s needs while developing successful projects. It was while working for a nationally recognized real estate investment firm that Jimmy realized the same skills that had led him to success in commercial real estate could be applied to building homes.

In 1988, with a simple vision and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Jimmy Jacobs Custom Homes was born. Jimmy began building specifically designed custom homes on individual customer-owned lots in his growing hometown of Georgetown, Texas. In addition to rave reviews for the customer-first flexibility inherent in the “build-on-your-own-lot” business model, Jimmy also received numerous accolades for his quality construction and exceptional craftsmanship.
