had the
honor
of joining
Extreme
Makeover’s
Home Edition’s
cast and
crew on
a weeklong
home demolition
and rebuild
for Patrick
and Jeannette
O’Donnell.
The
O’Donnell’s
home
was too
small
and
suffered
from
mold,
rotted
wood,
leaky
roof
and overall
damage
to the
structure
and
foundation.
Working
around
the
clock,
Jacobs
Homes,
the
show’s
cast
and crew,
and
thousands
of volunteers
successfully
built
a new
home
from
the ground
up in
just
106 hours.
The
new home’s
design
included
ample
space
for
every
family
member,
as well
as several
unique
features
designed
specifically
to aid
in the
children’s
treatments
and
wellbeing.
Among
the
special
features
was
a custom-made
art
gallery
that
displayed
the
children’s
work,
a cutting-edge
interactive
activity
room
with
individually
designed
stations
for
each
child,
and
a
treatment
and
therapy
room
for
visiting
therapists
and
doctors.
